Light wood frame 27w 31 high in mat 19 x 23h Herman Bailey (1931-1981) was born in Chicago, grew up in Los Angeles CA, studied in Alabama State college where he received commissions for large paingings and murals as a student; described as a black bohemian at the time. Described himsel as a representation artist, he used charcoal and experimented with oil and acrylic, sometimes using combined medium in his artwork. Ref 414
